IDENER joins ISMET-International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology

IDENER has recently joined ISMET-International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology in order to go ahead developing the knowledge acquired through the MFC4Sludge project.

ISMET main goal is to link researchers from various areas of science and engineering towards studying the complex interactions of microorganisms and electrodes, while finding novel ways to use them for sustainability applications. This way, this society gathers people and organisations from all over the world interested in this area.

The company participation in ISMET will support the exploitation and dissemination activities from the MFC4Sludge project and, in addition, will pave the way for further knowledge transference and cooperation opportunities in the Microbial Electrochemistry area such as metal recovery using Microbial Fuel Cells or wastes valorisation through the aforementioned technologies.
