Raw Materials Week, 7-9th November, Brussels

The second edition of the Raw Materials Week took place last 7-9th November in Brussels (Belgium), with the aim of gathering EU stakeholders to share information about the EU actions in Raw Materials, be informed about the EU needs and opportunities in this sector and doing networking.

IDENER participated in this successful event, attending to the Raw Material Event on 7th November, where after a general introduction of the Raw Materials in Europe, projects as SCRREEN about knowledge generation of Critical Raw Materials, were presented.

During the second day, we attended the 5th Annual High Level Conference of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Raw Materials, where after an introductory session about the investing in the value chain of raw materials in EU, three sessions took part: 1) Raw materials for low-carbon energy and mobility, 2) Raw materials for the defence and aerospace sectors, 3) Raw Materials in the construction sector.

The last day, 9th November, was devoted to the following conference: “The EU Raw Materials Knowledge Base in support of the EU Raw Materials Policy”, which provides information about Raw Materials in EU, and where raw materials projects outputs are included.

IDENER participates in EU projects devoted to raw material production from secondary sources, as REE4EU, METGROW+, MSP-REFRAM, SCRREEN, where our main tasks are the metal extraction with hydrometallurgy, the processes optimization, engineering tasks and special reports about Raw Materials.
