BIOSYSMO 6-month consortium meeting celebrated in Sevilla

The BIOSYSMO consortium met for the first time face-to-face for the 6-month General Assembly in Sevilla. IDENER, as project coordinator, hosted the meeting. The partners presented the progress of the activities during the first 6 months of the project and engaged in fruitful technical discussions.
BIOSYSMO is developing efficient bioremediation systems for removing mixed pollution from soils, water and sediments. IDENER supports the development of the biosystems with digital tools, such as computationally-assisted database inspection and integration, genome-scale metabolic models of microbial communities and predictive models of pollutant toxicity. During the meeting, IDENER presented the advances on the construction of an integrated database on bioremediation resources.
The partners are now on track for achieving the first two milestones of the project, which are due in month 12.
