LI4LIFE project commences with inaugural gathering in Madrid
Li4LIFE project has started. The kick-off meeting was celebrated in Madrid last 27 and 28th May 2024. LI4LIFE’s main goal is to introduce efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly technologies for extracting lithium from underexploited deposits and post-mining tailings.
The consortium driving this initiative is a strong alliance of 15 organizations, including academic institutions, mining companies, technology firms, and industry clusters, along with 4 affiliated entities. Together, they form a hub of innovation and proactive collaboration.
At LI4LIFE’s technological advancements, IDENER contributes its expertise in advanced mathematical modeling. This expertise is instrumental in predicting and validating the performance of the pilot plant and in the creation of a digital twin. This digital counterpart will act as a sophisticated optimization tool for the pilot plant, allowing the consortium to simulate the lithium extraction process, refine operations, and guarantee that the plant operates with utmost efficiency and efficacy.
