NOVAFOODIES recently held its M12 project meeting, and we at the IDENER.AI team are proud to share the significant strides made towards fostering sustainable practices within the aquaculture and fisheries value chains.

Our contribution to this collective endeavor includes the advancement of innovative microwave systems designed for the efficient drying of microalgae and macroalgae. Our work, which integrates both modeling and experimental activities, aims at optimizing energy use and minimizing the environmental impact associated with these processes.

In addition to showcasing our technical progress, we also took on a pivotal role in project coordination, ensuring that the efforts of all consortium members are synergistic and effective.

A highlight of the event was the field visit to Sagremarisco farm systems. Set against the backdrop of the open sea, we were privileged to observe the diverse marine life on a boat tour, punctuated by the delightful sighting of local dolphins.
