SUNSON consortium at TPV-15 and UHTES-2 hybrid conference

Between October 1-3, 2024, the SUNSON consortium made a notable appearance at the 15th World Conference on Thermophotovoltaic Generation of Electricity (TPV-15) in Madrid, which included a workshop on Ultra-High Temperature Thermal Energy Storage, Transfer, and Conversion. This workshop, co-organized by the SUNSON project, took place on the second day as a segment of the TPV-15 conference.

The event convened experts and leaders in sustainable energy to exchange insights and explore the latest advancements in thermophotovoltaic technology and ultra-high temperature energy storage solutions, key components for propelling the efficiency and adoption of renewable energy.

During the conference, Alfonso Hernández Bustos and Ignacio Fernández participated in the workshop, contributing to a broad spectrum of discussions. Alongside other research groups, including those from NTNU who are also collaborators in the SUNSON project, they presented their findings. Notably, IDENER.AI, as a crucial member of the SUNSON consortium, showcased their contributions by sharing research on modeling ultra-high temperature storage as part of the SUNSON-BOX system during the Poster Session associated with the second day’s workshop. The event underscored the collaborative efforts and continuous pursuit of innovation within the field of sustainable energy.
