pHYBi consortium met in Seville to kick -off the project activities

The pHYBi project officially began with a launch event held on October 8, 2024, in Sevilla, marking the start of an ambitious initiative under the Horizon Europe framework. IDENER.AI, as an integral member of the project consortium, is the responsible of the research and monitoring of phytomanagement strategies, which are designed to use plants for soil remediation while simultaneously producing valuable biomass. These efforts are undertaken with the aim of optimizing the growth of industrial crops on contaminated and saline soils, thereby contributing to the overarching goal of creating sustainable bioproducts for the textile industry.

Moreover, our objectives are multifaceted, including the development of high-throughput techniques for the effective phytomanagement of soils, the advancement of knowledge and technology for the valorization of lignocellulosic biomass, and the demonstration of the practicality and benefits of these approaches in terms of environmental sustainability, economic viability, and social acceptance. Andrea Domínguez was hoster and is the project manager in the pHYBi project from IDENER.AI.
