NEO-CYCLE project presented at the EURAW Seville

IDENER.AI recently made a splash at the European Raw Materials Clustering Event in Seville, where Macarena García presented the innovative NEO-CYCLE project. The event, hosted by the International Sustainable Materials Consortium (ISMC), brought together leaders in the field to discuss the present and future of raw materials.

The NEO-CYCLE project is focused on demonstrating the sustainable upcycling of spent NdFeB magnets from hard disk drives at a TRL6 level, aiming to produce high-quality materials for sectors like pharmaceuticals, ammonia production, fertilizers, and polymers. Its comprehensive approach integrates advanced Solid-State Chlorination, Electrochemical Purification, and the development of industrial catalysts, bolstered by digital advancements such as mathematical modeling, plant digital twins, and digital product passports for enhanced efficiency and transparency. Furthermore, the project emphasizes stringent sustainability assessments to confirm the techno-economic and social viability of its green solutions, underscoring a commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

As the NEO-CYCLE project forges ahead, IDENER.AI anticipate sharing further developments and results. With a clear focus on continuous innovation and stakeholder engagement, the project is well on its way to making a significant impact on the market and setting new standards for sustainability within the raw materials industry.

The European Raw Materials Clustering Event served as an ideal platform for IDENER.AI to disseminate the NEO-CYCLE project’s vision and progress. As the project continues to evolve, the industry eagerly awaits the advancements that NEO-CYCLE consortium will bring to the raw materials sector, ensuring a more sustainable future for all.
