The ICO2NIC project aims to combine advancements in polymer membrane-based CO2 capture technology with an innovative Gas Diffusion electrochemical cell for the conversion of CO2 to formic acid. The valorization of formic acid through innovative biological processing routes is expected to yield high-value products and materials. Regarding IDENER’s role within the ICO2NIC project, it focuses on evaluating the integration of renewable energies into the proposed solution, developing a data management system that will provide a recommendation system based on a data-driven model, and assessing the social impact of the project.
During the kickoff meeting of the ICO2NIC project, which was held in Brussels, IDENER.AI presented the steps and methodologies that will be implemented to address the aforementioned aspects.
