On 17 March 2026, the coordinator of The BIOVAL project attended the clustering event organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in Brussels. The event brought together the different projects funded by CINEA under the Horizon Europe programme, giving coordinators the opportunity to present their objectives and current stage of development.
The BIOVAL project is coordinated by IDENER.AI and funded under Horizon Europe. Over a 36-month period and with a total budget of over €3.4 million, the project aims to develop and scale up an integrated circular biorefinery with near-zero waste and carbon emissions, capable of valorising biogenic CO₂ and biomass waste for the co-production of advanced biofuels and bioproducts. The event provided an overall view of projects sharing closely related concepts and goals, opening the door to potential synergies and clustering activities among participants. These networking spaces play a key role in fostering knowledge exchange and maximising the impact of EU-funded research and innovation projects.
