In the context of the finalization of the INTMET project “Integrated innovative metallurgical system to benefit efficiently polymetallic, complex and low-grade ores and concentrates”, Cobre las Cruces, as coordinator of the INMENT project, organized a clustering conference entitled “Fostering Innovation in the Iberian Pyrite Belt”. This conference was organized with the aim of promoting sustainable exploitation of complex and polymetallic ores trying to foster technological innovation in the Iberian Pyrite Belt mining region.
This event took place in the Consulate of Portugal in Sevilla and different representatives from the administration such as the European Commission and the Junta de Andalucía presented their key notes regarding the overall vision related to raw materials, resource efficiency and mining.
IDENER was invited to this event in order to present a poster of the NEMO project in which Cobre las Cruces is one of the case studies for the waste reduction in metal production flowsheets from sulphidic ores. Other European projects such as INFACT, MIREU and REMIX were also represented in the conference, providing the perfect atmosphere for this interesting clustering event.
