BATMASS – How to Implement Circularity Principles in the Battery Sector

IDENER.AI was invited to the workshop “How to Implement Circularity Principles in the Battery Sector” as attendee. The workshop consisted of a co-creation exercise led by CTA, where Pierre Padilla from N-ABLE introduced the Circular Battery Valley (CBV) concept. It included the EU Circular Battery Valley objectives which are: produce an exhaustive and analytical mapping of the circular battery landscape to organize its on-boarding within the Circular Battery Valley; activate key intermediaries to setup the ground for CBV communities’ on-boarding; actively engage with and on-boarding the priority target communities of BATMASS; initiate new cross-regional collaboration opportunities within the area of circular battery innovations; and establish a bridge between all communities of the CVB to further unlock the provision of risk capital for cross-regional innovation investments and overcome current barriers standing in the way of the EU Circular Battery value chain.

The session provided room for attendees to discuss the needs, success factors, and required actions to support the CBV. Then, it was also highlighted this exercise, which aimed to gather feedback to further develop the CBV and its action plan.
