The NEO-CYCLE project has made significant strides since its inception, and its momentum continued through our recent M6 Consortium Meeting, which took place in Athens on February 26-27, 2025. The gathering served as a platform for dynamic discussion and partnership among the consortium’s expert members.
Representatives from IDENER.AI included Macarena García Ayala, a member of the project coordination team, and Ana Lara Quijano, who is deeply involved in the intricacies of engineering design and modeling. The focus of their contributions during the meeting was eco-efficiency, aligning with the project’s overarching goal to transform recycling processes. The NEO-CYCLE initiative is dedicated to extracting functional end-products from waste hard drive magnets, which have applications across various industries, including the production of fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, and as catalysts in numerous other processes.
The NEO-CYCLE project is committed to advancing the principles of the circular economy. It aims to minimize environmental impact and enhance resource efficiency by pioneering the upcycling of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets. Such an endeavor is a collaborative effort, and it is the dedication and synergy of our consortium partners that fuel our collective progress.
