NOVAFOODIES M24 Consortium Meeting celebrated in Cork, Ireland

IDENER.AI is proud to have participated in the latest M24 Consortium Meeting of the NOVAFOODIES project, which took place on the 13th and 14th of May, 2025, in the vibrant city of Cork, Ireland. This significant event, hosted by University College Cork (UCC), marked a pivotal moment for all project partners as we reviewed progress, shared insights, and strategized for the future of sustainable food processing.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Linda O’Higgins and her dedicated team at UCC for organizing a flawless event. Their hospitality and the collaborative atmosphere they fostered were instrumental in the success of this meeting.

As the coordinator of the NOVAFOODIES project, IDENER.AI was represented by Macarena García Ayala, who led the coordination team’s efforts during the event. One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation by our colleague Alfonso Hernández Bustos. Alfonso unveiled the latest advances in the development of innovative microwave systems for the drying of micro and macro-algae. His presentation underscored the significant strides we have made in optimizing these systems for energy efficiency and preservation of the nutritional value of algae.

The two-day event was filled with productive sessions, including roundtable discussions, workshops, and presentations from various consortium partners. The collective expertise and commitment to excellence were palpable as representatives from academia, industry, and research institutions came together to drive the NOVAFOODIES project forward.

As we reflect on the outcomes of the M24 Consortium Meeting, we at IDENER.AI are energized by the shared vision and dedication to revolutionizing the food industry through sustainable practices. The progress we have made thus far is a testament to the collaborative spirit and innovative approach of all partners involved.

We look forward to continuing our work within the NOVAFOODIES consortium and to the exciting developments that lie ahead. Together, we are paving the way for a more sustainable future in food processing and consumption.
