On the transformation of agile software development with AI
AI4SWNEG: AI engineering suite to support agile efficient software engineering
AI4SWNEG is a project that unites expertise in model-driven software engineering and AI engineering to innovate agile software development processes. The project aims to achieve a transformation in the sector by introducing advanced AI-powered tools that facilitate design-by-contract development, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and compliance with security and privacy standards.
The project’s objective is to enhance the quality and speed of software delivery, making the development process more socially responsible, scalable, and sustainable, while also ensuring that products meet ethical and regulatory compliance. AI4SWNEG is focused on providing AI-powered support to software developers, reducing the stress associated with agile development and improving productivity, job satisfaction, and creativity.
To accomplish these goals, AI4SWNEG will develop and validate a comprehensive platform that offers a toolkit designed to support the entire software development lifecycle. This platform will address both functional and non-functional aspects of software creation, offering solutions for code generation, cross-compilation, advanced debugging, dynamic slicing, adaptation, and incorporating security and privacy by design. It will also assist with project management, process quality, maintenance, and leverage data-driven insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
The project’s deliverables are set to be validated through four use-cases, which cover diverse areas from software development to healthcare, cyber-physical systems, and next-generation battery management in electric vehicles. AI4SWNEG ‘s commitment is to provide a user-centered design approach and structured support in prompt engineering, enabling software development teams to maximize the benefits of the platform.
