HEROES consortium presents social pilot initiative during Bucharest meeting
On June 5th and 6th, 2024, the HEROES project consortium held a crucial meeting in Bucharest, Romania. Pablo Gallegos, as project manager, was the IDENER.AI representative. The meeting featured presentations and interactive sessions, fostering productive discussions among partners.
The primary focus on the first day was the internal review, which included presentations on the social work conducted within the consortium and the pilot phase initiated in Avila earlier in the year. The team also meticulously planned the upcoming pilot initiatives, scheduled for July 8th to 10th in Madrid, and underscored their importance in the project's timeline.
On the second day, the meeting centred on social tools and their demonstration. The forum highlighted resources available to the general public and NGOs designed to help prevent crimes such as CSA/CSE and THB. Attendees were introduced to the practical tools developed by the consortium, including the Identifying Fake Job Offers (INDOOR) tool, the Anti-Grooming Mobile App (AGaap), and the Citizen Reporting App (CR).
The presence of external visitors from various organizations, such as The Association for Victims of Sexual Crimes (VIS), The Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Law on the Internet Foundation, The General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, and Save the Children Romania's Safe Online initiative, enriched the discussions. Their contributions provided invaluable perspectives that enhanced the project's objectives.
